Everything you need
before your first visit.
What to expect at your first visit, the new patient forms, how insurance works here, and how we handle pain. We are happy to hear from you, answer your questions and schedule an appointment.
Make an appointment.
Call 860-430-4388 and one of our team will be glad to help. That is the whole process — no portal to register for first.
If something comes up after you have booked, please call and cancel 24 hours in advance so we can offer the slot to another patient who is waiting.
That number covers both offices. The Enfield direct line is 860-763-5522.
New patient forms
New patients complete a short package before treatment starts — registration, medical history, consent and our financial policy.
Ask when you call and we will email it to you as a PDF, so you can fill it in at home and arrive ready to be seen rather than starting with a clipboard.
No printer, or would rather not? Complete it at the desk when you get here — allow an extra ten minutes or so.
What to expect.
Arriving
You walk into the lobby and are greeted by our staff. If you have not already filled in your forms, we hand you the package then — health questionnaire, insurance and contact details — along with information about the office and how we handle patient privacy.
The examination
Your initial exam takes around an hour. We ask questions, get to know your oral hygiene routine, and listen to your concerns.
We believe in educating patients and helping them make good choices, so we will demonstrate how to care for your teeth properly and make suggestions where they are useful.
Cleaning and recommendations
Our dental hygienist cleans your teeth, then Dr. Kasabji completes your examination and makes recommendations for any treatment.
You leave understanding what was found and what your options are — not with a quote you did not ask for.
Tell us where you are on this.
People have very different tolerances and very different histories with dentistry, and pretending otherwise helps nobody.
We will discuss your pain tolerance and put a plan together for managing it. Working together, we treat the problem in a way that minimises pain and gets you back to your life faster.
If anxiety rather than pain is the issue, that is worth saying too — there is a good deal we can do about it, including simply letting you visit the office first with no treatment booked.
Worth bringing
- Your insurance card
- A list of any medications you take
- Your completed new patient forms, if we emailed them to you
- Any recent X-rays from a previous dentist
- Any denture or appliance you want us to look at
We check before, not after.
We accept most private dental insurance plans, including Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna and MetLife, and we try to accommodate requests where we can. Call the office and we will tell you whether we are currently working with your provider.
Please note: we are unable to accept Medicaid or state-funded plans, including HUSKY Health A, B, C and D. We would rather you knew that before making the trip.
If your insurance will not cover all of your treatment, we will work with you to find a payment solution. We are health care professionals first, and the aim is that you get the treatment you need.
Financial policy
Every patient has different financial circumstances, and our pricing is structured so people can actually get the care they need.
We accept cash, cheque, financing and credit cards, and 0% APR Cherry payment plans are available. Existing patients can also pay online.
Where treatment runs across several procedures, we produce an itemised plan with all insurance benefits applied before you commit to anything. Nobody here should receive an unexpected bill.
Answered honestly.
Can I just walk in?
How do I get the new patient forms?
Which office should I go to?
Do you see children?
How often should I come in?
It has been years since I saw a dentist.
Will you tell me the cost before treating me?
Any questions, just call.
We are happy to hear from you, answer your questions and schedule an appointment — including questions about cost and insurance before you commit to anything.
